GPE1W3 - CCG M32 E1W IP68 NP Gland Kit x 2

The CCG E1W Cable Gland Kit is a trusted solution for terminating steel wire armoured (SWA)cables in industrial indoor, outdoor installations. Precision machined from extruded nickel-plated brass, this gland maintains a secure connection even in harsh weather or wet conditions.

The four-part design prevents twisting of the armour, while the inner polychloroprene seal blocks water ingress from under the armour wire.  Dust and ingress protection to IP66 and IP68 standards when installed with supplied sealing washer. This ensures electrical continuity and strain relief on power and control cables.

Each kit up to M32 includes two glands, two locknuts, two earth tags and two PVC shrouds. M40 and larger come as single kits with locknut and shroud.

Ideal for panels, junction boxes and exposed SWA runs where durability and safety matter most.

Single and double compression cable glands differ in their sealing and clamping mechanisms:

Single Compression Glands: These glands provide compression around the outer sheath of the cable, offering basic sealing and strain relief. They are suitable for indoor/outdoor applications where environmental conditions are controlled.

Double Compression Glands: These glands provide compression at both the outer sheath and the inner bedding layer of the cable. This dual compression offers enhanced sealing and strain relief, making them ideal for outdoor or hazardous environments where additional protection is required.

Yes - Specific types of cable glands are designed for use in hazardous area environments. These glands are constructed to prevent the ingress of flammable gases or dust and are often certified to standards such as ATEX or IECEx, ensuring safety in explosive atmospheres. When installing Cable Glands using plain holes and locknuts, the recommended clearance of +0.2 mm above the nominal thread diameter. For example, an M20 gland should be mounted in a 20.2 mm diameter hole. The maximum recommended clearance is +0.7 mm. This ensures a secure fit while allowing easy installation.
