Pre Boxed Heatshrink Dispensers
With excellent electrical and mechanical properties, it is flexible and has a low shrinkage temperature. Applications include general electrical insulation, mechanical protection, cable and harness bundling, sleeving and colour identification. It is widely used in electrical, electronic, automotive, mechanical and general commercial industries. Remora’s heat shrink boxed sleeving is available in sizes from 1.6mm to 25.4mm internal diameter and is available in nine different colours. Supplied in lengths from 3m to 15m in convenient point of sale packaging. Remora Heatshrink tube is also available as a in the Mini Kit RMK1.

Questions & Answers


As a rule of thumb, select a shrink ratio that allows the tube to slide easily over the largest part of your assembly, while still recovering tightly on the smallest section. For general cabling, 2:1 is often sufficient. For uneven shapes or connectors, 3:1 provides a more reliable grip.

Yes, provided the material is suited to the conditions. Standard polyolefin performs up to around 125°C, while PTFE and other fluoropolymers withstand continuous service temperatures of 200 °C or higher. Always check manufacturer datasheets to avoid premature failure.

The key is controlled, even heating. A hot air gun is preferable, applied in a slow rotation to avoid hotspots. Overheating can thin the material or scorch insulation. Keep the heat moving, watch for uniform shrinkage and allow time for cooling before handling.
