The GripLoc Ex Nylon Cable Gland are designed for safe, certified cable termination in hazardous areas. It's fully compliant with ATEX and IECEx standards for Exe (Increased Safety) applications, making it suitable for use in Zone 1 and Zone 2 gas environments, as well as Zone 21 and Zone 22 dust atmospheres.
GripLoc EX cable glands are designed for use in explosive atmospheres with unarmoured or braided cables that are terminated within the enclosure. Suitable for extreme conditions, it offers a wide operating temperature range from -20°C to +80°C.
Manufactured from flame-retardant PA6 nylon, it offers watertight IP68 protection against water, dust and environmental stress. The design includes built-in Vibration-Lock to prevent loosening over time, and Friction Splines to give a tool-friendly, slip-resistant grip during installation.

The internal Ridge-and-Groove structure delivers dependable strain relief and helps stabilise the cable under tension or flex. A wide clamping range covers multiple cable sizes, reducing stock requirements and simplifying setup. GripLoc Exe is a smart, reliable solution for control panels, junction boxes and equipment installed in hazardous areas.

Single and double compression cable glands differ in their sealing and clamping mechanisms:

Yes - Specific types of cable glands are designed for use in hazardous area environments. When installing Cable Glands using plain holes and locknuts, the recommended clearance of +0.2 mm above the nominal thread diameter. For example, an M20 gland should be mounted in a 20.2 mm diameter hole. The maximum recommended clearance is +0.7 mm. This ensures a secure fit while allowing easy installation.
