The HSP6-25 Heatshrink Pack provides a versatile solution for insulating and colour coding cable lugs from 4.0mm² to 150.0mm². Supplied in five phase colours, the pack includes three tube sizes (6.4mm, 12.7mm, and 25.4mm) to suit a wide range of applications.

Manufactured from Zero Halogen Polyolefin, the material is flame retardant delivering safety and durability in both indoor and outdoor environments. With a shrink temperature of 80°C and an operating range from -40°C to 135°C, these sleeves ensure secure, long lasting protection. Each pack includes 15 tubes, 250mm long, in black, blue, brown, grey, and green/yellow.

Questions & Answers


As a rule of thumb, select a shrink ratio that allows the tube to slide easily over the largest part of your assembly, while still recovering tightly on the smallest section. For general cabling, 2:1 is often sufficient. For uneven shapes or connectors, 3:1 provides a more reliable grip.

Yes, provided the material is suited to the conditions. Standard polyolefin performs up to around 125°C, while PTFE and other fluoropolymers withstand continuous service temperatures of 200 °C or higher. Always check manufacturer datasheets to avoid premature failure.

The key is controlled, even heating. A hot air gun is preferable, applied in a slow rotation to avoid hotspots. Overheating can thin the material or scorch insulation. Keep the heat moving, watch for uniform shrinkage and allow time for cooling before handling.
