The Heatshrink Mini Box Kit RMK2 provides a versatile selection of adhesive lined heatshrink tubing, designed to offer superior environmental sealing and protection against moisture, water ingress and mechanical stress. Containing 35 pre-cut 100mm pieces in black and red, this kit is ideal for electrical, automotive and industrial applications where reliable insulation and protection are critical. 


The 3:1 shrink ratio ensures a tight, secure fit across a wide range of cable sizes, while the zero halogen polyolefin construction delivers durability, flexibility and RoHS compliance. With an operating temperature range of -55°C to +110°C, this kit provides a professional and effective solution for sealing joints and protecting sensitive components. Questions & Answers

As a rule of thumb, select a shrink ratio that allows the tube to slide easily over the largest part of your assembly, while still recovering tightly on the smallest section. For general cabling, 2:1 is often sufficient. For uneven shapes or connectors, 3:1 provides a more reliable grip.

Yes, provided the material is suited to the conditions. Standard polyolefin performs up to around 125°C, while PTFE and other fluoropolymers withstand continuous service temperatures of 200 °C or higher. Always check manufacturer datasheets to avoid premature failure.

The key is controlled, even heating. A hot air gun is preferable, applied in a slow rotation to avoid hotspots. Overheating can thin the material or scorch insulation. Keep the heat moving, watch for uniform shrinkage and allow time for cooling before handling.
