The ArmaKit®  CW Ali Cable Gland Kit is a sturdy three-part aluminium gland designed for safe, clean terminations of Aluminium Wire Armoured (AWA) PVC and Low Smoke (LSF) cables. Made for indoor or outdoor use, this gland combines mechanical clamping with a tough environmental seal that keeps out water jets and dust.

An internal polychloroprene seal protects cable entry points while the separate cone and ring prevent twisting of the armour wires as the gland is tightened. An internal aluminium washer holds the seal steady under torque so you get a secure, leak-free fit every time.

Each CW ALi gland is precision machined from high grade aluminium for lightweight strength and corrosion resistance, making it ideal for industrial sites, control panels or exposed runs where an aluminium finish matches the cable type.

Every kit includes the gland, locknut, aluminium earth tag and low smoke shroud to deliver a safe, professional install.

Single and double compression cable glands differ in their sealing and clamping mechanisms:

Single Compression Glands: These glands provide compression around the outer sheath of the cable, offering basic sealing and strain relief. They are suitable for indoor/outdoor applications where environmental conditions are controlled.

Double Compression Glands: These glands provide compression at both the outer sheath and the inner bedding layer of the cable. This dual compression offers enhanced sealing and strain relief, making them ideal for outdoor or hazardous environments where additional protection is required.

Yes - Specific types of cable glands are designed for use in hazardous area environments. These glands are constructed to prevent the ingress of flammable gases or dust and are often certified to standards such as ATEX or IECEx, ensuring safety in explosive atmospheres. When installing Cable Glands using plain holes and locknuts, the recommended clearance of +0.2 mm above the nominal thread diameter. For example, an M20 gland should be mounted in a 20.2 mm diameter hole. The maximum recommended clearance is +0.7 mm. This ensures a secure fit while allowing easy installation.
