CE0.50B - Cord End 0.50mm² - Orange

German Cord End (Bootlace) Terminals are designed to reinforce fine wire strands when connecting cables to terminal blocks. They provide a secure and reliable termination for tri-rated cables and are suitable for professional electrical installations.
Each terminal is made from tin plated copper for excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. The nylon insulation ensures safe handling and protection while making wire identification simple. Rated for 600 volts and compliant with DIN 46288 Part 4, these terminals meet industry standards for safety and performance.
With a temperature range from -40°C to 105°C, these cord ends maintain consistent performance in demanding environments. The German colour code (B) allows easy wire size identification. These terminals are ideal for electricians, installers, and industrial wiring applications, providing professional quality and long-lasting connections.

Questions & Answers

No, absolutely not. Solder is soft and flows. When it’s compressed under a terminal screw, it loses shape (this is called “cold flow”) over time. That results in a loose connection, which is a major fire hazard due to arcing and resistance. A ferrule and a proper crimp create a permanent, hard wearing connection that soldering simply cannot replicate under pressure.

The colour-coding is primarily a safety and identification feature. It simplifies inventory and confirms the size (mm²) of the ferrule at a glance, which speeds up assembly and reduces the chance of mismatching wire gauge and ferrule size during installation.
