The CCG IPlus Corrosion Guard Cable Gland is engineered to provide safe, durable terminations for armoured cables in harsh environments. This gland is ideal for outdoor or industrial applications where moisture, dust, and corrosion pose a constant threat.
Built from high-quality brass and finished with CCG's IPlus Corrosion Guard it offers long-lasting protection against aggressive chemicals, salt air, and weathering. The gland ensures a strong mechanical grip on armoured cables while sealing the inner & outer sheath to maintain IP68 rated ingress protection.
The gland delivers everything needed for fast, secure installations. Its robust design maintains performance under vibration and temperature variation, making it suitable for power distribution panels, junction boxes, and field equipment.
The IPlus Corrosion Guard Cable Gland is a practical solution for keeping armoured cable terminations secure, corrosion-resistant, and electrically safe in the most demanding conditions.

Single and double compression cable glands differ in their sealing and clamping mechanisms:

Single Compression Glands: These glands provide compression around the outer sheath of the cable, offering basic sealing and strain relief. They are suitable for indoor/outdoor applications where environmental conditions are controlled.

Double Compression Glands: These glands provide compression at both the outer sheath and the inner bedding layer of the cable. This dual compression offers enhanced sealing and strain relief, making them ideal for outdoor or hazardous environments where additional protection is required.

Yes - Specific types of cable glands are designed for use in hazardous area environments. These glands are constructed to prevent the ingress of flammable gases or dust and are often certified to standards such as ATEX or IECEx, ensuring safety in explosive atmospheres. When installing Cable Glands using plain holes and locknuts, the recommended clearance of +0.2 mm above the nominal thread diameter. For example, an M20 gland should be mounted in a 20.2 mm diameter hole. The maximum recommended clearance is +0.7 mm. This ensures a secure fit while allowing easy installation.
