GPA26LS - CCG M63 A2 IP68 Nickel Plated LSF Gland Kit

The CCG A2 Low Smoke Gland Kit is a highly dependable compression gland designed for single and multi-core unarmoured cables in demanding industrial and commercial installations. Precision-engineered from premium nickel-plated brass, it offers exceptional resistance against corrosion while effortlessly handling harsh environments, water ingress, heavy dust, and mechanical impacts.

When properly installed with the supplied high-performance thread sealing washer, the gland achieves superior IP66, IP67, and IP68 ratings for completely secure, watertight cable entry. Its intelligent, advanced design features a displacement seal that grips the outer cable sheath firmly to provide strong retention, all without harming or distorting the delicate inner conductors.

Each kit up to size M32 includes two glands, two locknuts, and two Low Smoke PVC shrouds for an enhanced safety installation solution. Sizes M40 and larger come as single kits containing one gland, locknut, and a Low Smoke PVC shroud.

The CCG A2 Low Smoke Gland Kit is perfectly suited for power, control, and instrumentation applications where robust, long-lasting cable sealing, reliable environmental protection, and enhanced fire safety performance are required in both indoor and outdoor settings.

Single and double compression cable glands differ in their sealing and clamping mechanisms:

Single Compression Glands: These glands provide compression around the outer sheath of the cable, offering basic sealing and strain relief. They are suitable for indoor/outdoor applications where environmental conditions are controlled.

Double Compression Glands: These glands provide compression at both the outer sheath and the inner bedding layer of the cable. This dual compression offers enhanced sealing and strain relief, making them ideal for outdoor or hazardous environments where additional protection is required.

Yes - Specific types of cable glands are designed for use in hazardous area environments. These glands are constructed to prevent the ingress of flammable gases or dust and are often certified to standards such as ATEX or IECEx, ensuring safety in explosive atmospheres. When installing Cable Glands using plain holes and locknuts, the recommended clearance of +0.2 mm above the nominal thread diameter. For example, an M20 gland should be mounted in a 20.2 mm diameter hole. The maximum recommended clearance is +0.7 mm. This ensures a secure fit while allowing easy installation.
