GripLoc® Brass PG Long Thread Cable Glands are built for dependable cable termination across a wide range of domestic, industrial and OEM applications. From factory machinery and HVAC systems to measurement and control equipment, these long thread PG glands provide a secure seal on unarmoured and flexible cables. They’re especially useful where deeper enclosures or thicker gland plates require extended reach.

Each gland is precision-machined from high-strength extrusion brass and finished with corrosion-resistant electro-nickel plating. The result is a tough, long-lasting component that performs in harsh environments, both indoors and out.

These glands are designed for full compatibility with the GripLoc® Multi-Hole Seal range. Ideal for routing multiple cables through a single entry point, they help keep panel layouts tidy while maintaining strong ingress protection.

The GripLoc® Seal system offers dependable sealing against dust and moisture, plus solid vibration resistance and reliable cable retention. This long thread PG version gives installers more flexibility in deeper panels or where PG threading is required.

Single and double compression cable glands differ in their sealing and clamping mechanisms:

Single Compression Glands: These glands provide compression around the outer sheath of the cable, offering basic sealing and strain relief. They are suitable for indoor/outdoor applications where environmental conditions are controlled.

Double Compression Glands: These glands provide compression at both the outer sheath and the inner bedding layer of the cable. This dual compression offers enhanced sealing and strain relief, making them ideal for outdoor or hazardous environments where additional protection is required.

Yes - Specific types of cable glands are designed for use in hazardous area environments. These glands are constructed to prevent the ingress of flammable gases or dust and are often certified to standards such as ATEX or IECEx, ensuring safety in explosive atmospheres. When installing Cable Glands using plain holes and locknuts, the recommended clearance of +0.2 mm above the nominal thread diameter. For example, an M20 gland should be mounted in a 20.2 mm diameter hole. The maximum recommended clearance is +0.7 mm. This ensures a secure fit while allowing easy installation.
