The GripLoc® Consumer Unit Gland is purpose-built for safe, tidy cable entry into domestic distribution boards and consumer units. Designed around incoming tails, this gland provides a clean, compact M32 solution that accepts 2 x 16mm² cables through a single point of entry.

Manufactured  in  corrosion-resistant nickel-plated brass, this gland keeps everything secure and well sealed. It’s IP68 rated for protection against dust and moisture, helping to maintain cable integrity over time.

Each kit includes  cable galnd and pre fitted seal to suit 16mm² incomming tails.  A blanking plug is also supplied, allowing easy accommodation of installations that don’t require an earth conductor.

By routing both tails through one entry, the gland helps avoid eddy currents and provides an insulating barrier in TT systems. It's a smart choice for installers who want safe, compliant, and neatly managed terminations at the point of entry.

Single and double compression cable glands differ in their sealing and clamping mechanisms:

When installing Cable Glands using plain holes and locknuts, the recommended clearance of +0.2 mm above the nominal thread diameter. For example, an M20 gland should be mounted in a 20.2 mm diameter hole. The maximum recommended clearance is +0.7 mm. This ensures a secure fit while allowing easy installation.
