The ArmaKit® Metallic Cable Gland with PG thread is built for safe, secure termination of unarmoured and flexible cables in industrial and commercial installations. It’s a dependable choice for power distribution systems, control panels and heavy-duty outdoor enclosures where PG threading is required.

Made from high-quality nickel-plated brass, this ArmaKit® gland provides strong mechanical retention and excellent corrosion resistance. The PG thread ensures compatibility with legacy equipment and systems where metric threads aren’t suitable. It’s fully rated for both indoor and outdoor use, offering robust ingress protection.

The gland features a wide sealing range, dependable electrical continuity and a smooth, clean installation process. It seals at both the cable entry and outer sheath, helping protect against dust, water and vibration, while maintaining cable integrity over time.

Single and double compression cable glands differ in their sealing and clamping mechanisms:

Single Compression Glands: These glands provide compression around the outer sheath of the cable, offering basic sealing and strain relief. They are suitable for indoor/outdoor applications where environmental conditions are controlled.

Double Compression Glands: These glands provide compression at both the outer sheath and the inner bedding layer of the cable. This dual compression offers enhanced sealing and strain relief, making them ideal for outdoor or hazardous environments where additional protection is required.

Yes - Specific types of cable glands are designed for use in hazardous area environments. These glands are constructed to prevent the ingress of flammable gases or dust and are often certified to standards such as ATEX or IECEx, ensuring safety in explosive atmospheres. When installing Cable Glands using plain holes and locknuts, the recommended clearance of +0.2 mm above the nominal thread diameter. For example, an M20 gland should be mounted in a 20.2 mm diameter hole. The maximum recommended clearance is +0.7 mm. This ensures a secure fit while allowing easy installation.
