The CCG CW Low Smoke Aluminium Gland kit is built for safe, durable terminations of aluminium (AWA) cables in indoor outdoor environments. Precision engineered by CCG, this gland is manufactured from marine-grade aluminium for corrosion resistance and long service life in coastal, industrial, and general outdoor applications.
It provides a reliable seal at both the cable outer sheath and the armour wires, ensuring electrical continuity and mechanical strength.
Each kit up to M32 includes two glands, two locknuts, two earth tags, two thread thread sealing washers and two PVC Low Smoke shrouds. M40 and larger come as single kits with locknut and shroud.
The CW gland design separates the armour clamp and outer seal to improve ingress protection and maintain cable integrity.

Single and double compression cable glands differ in their sealing and clamping mechanisms:

When installing Cable Glands using plain holes and locknuts, the recommended clearance of +0.2 mm above the nominal thread diameter. For example, an M20 gland should be mounted in a 20.2 mm diameter hole. The maximum recommended clearance is +0.7 mm. This ensures a secure fit while allowing easy installation.
